07/2015 - Classorama Competition
On Friday, our Steel Pan Band attended the annual Classorama steel pan competition. Classorama is an initiative that was established by the Steel Pan Trust in 2007, for high school and primary school students. It is celebrated by parents, teachers and pupils alike, and has evolved into a national event that involves all UK steel bands.
Our academy was competing against seventeen other schools across the nation, mainly comprised of much older students from high schools. At the end of the competition, our school was awarded third place! We would like to congratulate all of our students that competed in the competition. Attaining third place in a competition as competitive and prestigious as Classorama is an outstanding achievement. Congratulations and well done!
