06/2014 - 24 Tournament

We are very proud of our year 5 students who visited Harris Primary Academy Kent House this week to take part in a cross federation 24 game maths tournament.

You can add, subtract, multiply and divide. Use all four numbers on the card, but use each number only once. You do not have to use all four operations.

Example: One solution with a card showing 4 ,3, 2, 1 is:

4 x 3 = 12, 12 x 2 = 24, 24 ÷ 1 = 24

This is an easy card, called a “1 Dot,” because it has one white dot in the corner. Cards of medium difficulty have two red dots in the corner, and tough cards have three yellow dots.

The children competed against 9 other Harris Primary Schools to be the fastest to make 24.
